Ian Rictor has depicted the significant site of Tuwan situated in the heart of traditional Spinifex Lands. This site holds the Tjulpu Tjuta Tjukurpa (Many Birds Creation Line) and is from here, a group of Zebra Finch Men depart on their way to the southern coast to save the world from rising sea waters. These are creation beings who shaped the physical realm as they moved through it. They left a moral narrative in the mapped environment that is both religion and song that still guides Ananou on a daily basis.
