"On the Amata road that goes to Irrunytju are the Malara and Puta Puta homelands. Mr Donigan lived there at Puta Puta and I lived at Malara with my husband, my son and my grandson. We lived here for nine years. Before this we lived at Pipalyatjara."
Malara is Niningka's grandfather's and father's country, and her grandmother passed away there. Niningka now lives and works in Ernabella, and paints stories from here and from her homeland.
