The portrait of Barack Obama is strong in its composition, and in the dignified composure of the male figure in a suit and tie; he stands proudly in front of a partly concealed American flag. Vincent anticipated that the portrait was to look posed, as though Obama is standing in his office, a model to the painter.
"I like politics, and I think Obama is a good president; he's new and still learning many things. When he was elected as the president my family and friends in community thought it was exciting because he is the first African American president. Maybe one day Australia will have an Aboriginal Prime Minister."
